Characteristics and Needs of Advanced Learners

This is a four-part series focusing on the academic and affective characteristics and needs of advanced learners in Grades K-12. The course addresses the specialized needs of advanced learners including historically underrepresented students who are   Multilingual and Twice Exceptional learners.

Practical Application 

This course is designed to enhance educators' understanding of the characteristics of advanced learners and the needs that arise from those unique traits.  Educators can apply these understandings to develop the pedagogical skills necessary to design and implement effective instructional  strategies in the classroom. 

Continued Learning Options

The last session includes options for continued learning. Participants may want to engage in learning in this topic with colleagues, stakeholders or individually.
